In a fast-paced match at Tal-Qroqq last weekend, La Salle ZT Developments beat Kavallieri RS2 32-21 to claim their seventh MHA Cup success.
Led by coach Ian Psaila, La Salle are still unbeaten this season and made it three wins and a draw so far in this campaign.
Luke Zammit, the promising Kavallieri player, opened the scoreline but La Salle hit back strongly through inspirational captain Andrew Said.
The match was balanced at first with the two teams committing errors at both ends of the court. But La Salle soon surged ahead and maintained the upperhand for the rest of the match.
Kavallieri tried to fight their way back only for La Salle to stay in shape and preserve the lead they had built as goalkeeper John Scicluna effected some fine saves to deny his opponents.
In the end, an 11-goal margin gave La Salle a deserved victory.
Man of the match: Chris Magro (La Salle).
