The University’s Faculty of Laws recently celebrated its Foundation Day for the second time. During the event, Prof. Emeritus Joseph Ganado was conferred the academic excellence award by University Chancellor David Attard.

Prof. Raymond Mangion delivered a speech highlighting Prof. Ganado’s life-long achievements, his distinction in academia and contribution to the development of Maltese law through his writings.

David Joseph Borg’s name was inscribed in the Faculty Dean’s List for coming first in the three-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) course.

Justice Minister Chris Said presented the Prof. David Attard Prize to Louise Ann Sammut and Elisa Grech who came first in the first year of the LL.B. course.

The faculty was established on December 17, 1838.
