A fifth edition of Maltese through English by Lorna Vassallo has been issued. It introduces chapters explaining verbs with special peculiarities and lays out fully-conjugated examples of verbs having ‘għ’ as their first, second and third root consonants. It also deals with verbs plus pronouns and includes a fascinating account of how Italian verbs are passed down to the Maltese language. The full series now comprises five books and an accompanying CD. It is of particular interest to foreigners wishing to learn the Maltese language.
