There is a rumour that the only centrally-located parking area in Valletta (opposite the Central Bank) is to be taken over for parliamentary vehicles. If this is true, it would be one of the most selfish acts of our parliamentarians, so denying the people at large from utilising the only centrally-located parking area in the capital.
If I recall well, parliamentary vehicles were designated to utilise the ditch situated beneath the new Parliament building, which is the correct thing to do. Thus, there would have been no need to encroach on public space.
It is hoped that good sense will prevail and this parking area will remain at the service of the public.
