The Johane Casabene Dance Conservatoire (JCDC) aims to help, nurture and promote local talent. The JCDC teaching faculty believes that hard work, determination, passion and dedication are all essential to attain a high level of technical and artistic ability. During their lessons, teachers try to impart this philosophy to their students.

With the right level of training, there are many opportunities for successful students to pursue a career in this field. The curriculum includes classical ballet, modern jazz, hip-hop, Spanish, tap and contemporary dance with classes for children, teenagers and adults. JCDC is fully licensed and is also an approved dance centre for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. All qualifications are recognised by NCFHE.

Last year’s conservatoire students achieved excellent results in their dance examinations, with over 95% of them obtaining a distinction. Moreover, during the scholastic year, students had various opportunities to perform in events, the most recent being in the school show, Dance Collage.

Preparations are now underway for the 20th academic year. JCDC is centrally located in Qormi (opposite HSBC). The JCDC is fully licensed. The school houses four state-of-the-art studios, as well as other essential facilities, in order to ensure that all the students acquire a quality education in dance, in a safe and supportive environment. Registrations are now open. For further information send an e-mail to, or call on 2742 7933 or 99427933.
