Economist Clyde Caruana has been appointed chairman of the Employment and Training Corporation with immediate effect, the government said yesterday.
Over the past months, Mr Caruana has introduced a number of major government policies through the Jobs+ initiatives, such as free childcare for working parents, Making Work Pay and Youth Guarantee. He will take over from Alfred Grixti, who had been appointed a year ago.
The corporation’s new chief executive officer will be Philip Rizzo, who was already a member of the corporation’s board of directors.
