The office of the President will not comment about the horrific accident during the Paqpali għall-Istrina event. The police say they were not involved in the issuing of permits and risk assessment.

Malta International Airport distanced itself from the organisation and, hence, responsibility, and Tonio Darmanin, who fronts the Paqpaqli event, would not comment.

Yet, the 28 victims, their families and dear ones will have to struggle through the physical and mental psychological consequences while this, now too common, denying and shifting of responsibility takes place.

It makes one wonder whether we have come to the point where the powers-that-be are trying to persuade us that we are living in an era of perceptions or that each and every one of them is infallible or do not assume any responsibility in the office they hold.
