Brian Hansford, whose interview programme Realta’ was stopped by One TV, has migrated to PBS.

Speaking on TVAM, Mr Hansford said he had never had any pressure from One to invite or exclude anybody on his programme but he regretted that his contract was not renewed.

He said it had long been his dream to move to PBS and talks had taken several months.

Interjecting, TVAM co-presenter Joe Mifsud – also a former One TV presenter – said he wished to make it clear that in his case as well as Mr Hansford’s, this was not a case of them having left.

“I was not given time, I was not given the opportunity to present programmes (on One)... one day I will tell my story. This is to dispel the allegations and rumours. I did not leave, neither did Brian leave, but if one is not given an opportunity and somebody else offers it, then one has to use one’s talents elsewhere,” Dr Mifsud said.

Mr Hansford said his discussion programme will go on air in July.
