Hibernians forward Jean Paul Farrugia is one of three BOV Premier League footballers who were handed a one-match ban yesterday.

Farrugia was sent off for protests after coming on as a second-half substitute in the Paolites’ 4-1 victory over Qormi on Saturday.

The suspension rules the Malta Under-21 forward out of Hibs’ clash with high-flyers Mosta on Saturday.

Mosta will be without midfielder Ryan Grech who was also given a one-match ban for four yellow cards.

Vittoriosa Stars defender Clive Spiteri will miss the league fixture against Tarxien Rainbows on Saturday after collecting his fourth booking in his side’s 1-0 victory over Rabat Ajax last weekend.
