Skop is hopeful that last week’s development education seminar will lead to more effective overseas aid spending.

William Grech, chairman of Skop, the national platform for development NGOs, said: “We were glad to note some keen interest from the Government and political representatives.”

Sustainable Development Minister Leo Brincat told the seminar he agreed that overseas aid spending had to be decoupled from spending on migrants and asylum seekers at home.
