Malta’s foreign affairs’ prospects under a Labour government would be “amusing were they not tragic”, the Nationalist Party said.
The PN chastised MP Luciano Busuttil for questioning whether Malta should hand Libya’s frozen assets to the Libyan people, calling it a “shallow, mind-boggling and plain stupid comment that exposes the Labour Party for what it truly is: a populist party without vision and suffering from a grave lack of substance.”
It would be amusing to see Joseph Cuschieri in the European Parliament “were it not so tragic – for Malta”, it added, describing him as totally unprepared for the job. Several weeks ago he suggested that Malta should refrain from helping Greece in its bailout if it did not help Malta obtain its sixth seat, which Mr Cuschieri would occupy.
