The news about the tragic accidental death of 17-year-old Russian girl, Polina Rahman, is very disturbing. I read in The Times (July 31) that this under aged student had attended a welcome party organised by her English language school.

It is worrying to know that minor students are welcomed to Malta by being taken to Paceville and dumped into a night club.

Is this part of the quality educational service we are offering?

If Paceville has become part of our “cultural” localities, then we have a problem. Schools should know better at educating minor students.
