The Palumbo Group yesterday hosted a delegation of young Italian ship owners at the Grand Harbour shipyards.
The owners, considered to be among the best in Italy, are all under 40. They were escorted on a tour of the facilities to understand the potential of Palumbo’s two facilities.
The exploratory visit is considered to be important and could be instrumental to open new and substantial investment opportunities, a statement from Palumbo said.
“It could also be crucial to create synergies with all the facilities that the government of Malta has made available to fleet owners, facilities which help them to streamline their management and create new opportunities.”
With the two Maltese operations and the ones in Messina and Naples, Palumbo now has a network offering a range of services to vessel owners.
