It is becoming a habit for people who have old, rusty vehicles to dump them behind other people’s doors when they are not using them, especially at weekends. Sometimes they are left there for weeks or even months.

The tyres on these cars often go flat after being dumped in the same place for long and a lot of dirt and rubbish accumulates under such cars. It seems nobody cares any more about such things.

In certain privileged areas one cannot park – or at least they can park for a given time only – behind people’s doors as this is reserved for residents. However, in other areas residents are less equal – even though they pay their taxes like everybody else – and anyone can park and dump all types of vehicles in any condition, behind their doors, as long as the road tax is paid. All we care about is paying taxes.

Reports have been made to the police and the local councils in various localities about a number of cars being parked in places for a long time but nothing ever gets done.
