The Dance Workshop is presenting its 17th annual production – Pippi Longstocking and Other Inspirational Stories – at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta tomorrow at 7pm.

The concept behind this year’s performance is books – with the main focus being to encourage students to read and to be inspired by what they are reading.

Join Pippi on her adventures during the hour-long ballet during which she comes out on top, escaping from police, challenging a strong man, dancing with burglars and chasing ghosts.

The second half of the evening’s programme will be dedicated to other inspirational books, such as The Hunger Games, Sherlock Holmes, The Breadwinner and Little Red Riding Hood. During this part of the performance, the senior students and dancers will be performing to choreographies by Pamela Kerr, Diane Portelli, Kostas Papamatthaiakis, Douglas Comley, Jade Farrugia, Claire Cassola and Bettina von Brockdorff.

• Tickets at €18 and €20 may be obtained from www.mcc.com.mt. For more information send an e-mail to infothedanceworkshop@gmail.com or call 2124 2465/9942 9233.
