The Animal Rights Secretariat said yesterday that the case of a beaten horse in Mosta was being investigated by the police.

The International NGO People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals uploaded a You Tube video on its website showing a man whipping a horse in a small stall.

The video was reportedly filmed in Mosta.

The secretariat said that the authorities took action as soon as they received the report.
