Fuel prices rose from today, with diesel and kerosene going up by two cents and unleaded petrol by one.

A litre of kerosene or diesel now costs €1.31 while unleaded costs €1.41 per litre. Gasoil prices have remained unchanged at 98 cents.

Enemalta announced the revisions yesterday and pointed out that Malta’s petrol and diesel prices ranked 13th and 11th lowest respectively in the EU27. Consumer petrol and diesel prices in Malta are also below the EU average of €1.51 and €1.37 respectively.

Enemalta said the new prices reflected those fetched for the latest shipments of imported fuel.

Prices had been revised at the end of July, with unleaded petrol going up by four cents and diesel and kerosene by one cent but in September the prices dropped again.
