Reference is made to the report entitled ‘Rebranding of ETC is raising eyebrows’ (July 15).
The report alleges that Velprint Limited has received direct orders from JobsPlus for the rebranding exercise of the Employment and Training Corporation.
Velprint Limited has been awarded one printing job from JobsPlus in relation to ETC’s rebranding exercise, which printing job consisted of the printing of business cards. This print job was not awarded as a direct order, but was through a competitive quotation process, which Velprint Limited participated in with the cheapest offer.
Regarding the printing of the JobsPlus customer feedback leaflet mentioned in the parliamentary question referred to in the article, this had nothing whatsoever to do with the ETC rebranding exercise.
Moreover, the printing cost in question amounted to €195 and is, thus, regulated by public procurement regulations allowing the commissioning of such jobs.
