CSKA Sofia winger Njongo Priso was yesterday handed a two-match ban and fined €1,500 for the red card he incurred during last weekend’s turbulent Bulgarian league match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Priso was dismissed following an altercation with Dakson, the Plovdiv midfielder who was also sent off.

Dakson was also banned two matches and fined for his part in the incident.

CSKA beat Plovdiv 3-0 with former Valletta FC and AEK Larnaca player Priso scoring one of the goals for the league leaders.

Yesterday, the Bulgarian FA Disciplinary Committee meted out its first sanctions in the case where more measures could follow as Priso allegedly made obscene gestures to the Plovdiv fans who hurled objects and shouted racial abuse at the Cameroonian on his way to the tunnel.

Sources told The Times that if found guilty of unruly behaviour in another hearing, Priso’s suspension could be increased to six matches.
