The Rotary Club has opened the first Rotaract Club in Gozo. It will be presided over by Shaun Azzopardi.

Rotaract is an organisation focused on younger professionals and entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 and shares the same ideals as the ‘parent’ Rotary Club.

The nine founding members are now part of a worldwide organisation of some 8,000 Rotaract clubs in 170 countries and geographic areas.

Rotaract Gozo is already working on projects in associa­tion with the Gozo University campus and Mcast.

There are plans to provide entertainment for children at Gozo hospital and to offer a tutoring service to students resitting exams.
