Irish budget airline Ryanair has launched a New Year ski sale from Malta to Milan Bergamo, at fares starting from €22.99 for travel between January and March.
There are dozens of ski resorts within a three-hour transfer of the north Italy city, as it also has access to those in Austria, France and Switzerland. Bardonnechia, Cervinia, Courmayeur, Livigno, Sauze d’Oulx and even St Moritz are all under two-and-a-half hours away.
Hiring equipment while in the country means putting together a holiday yourself and taking budget flights is a viable way to save money, as skiing trip costs can soon add up.
“Ryanair will once again get Maltese skiers straight to the slopes on the coolest fares in 2015 with great value ski specials to Milan Bergamo, starting from just €22.99 one-way,” said the airline’s Maria Macken.
Travellers can choose from five weekly flights to Milan Bergamo this winter and ticket prices now include allocated seating and a second carry-on bag after Ryanair introduced changes to its notoriously stringent conditions earlier this year.
The low-cost ski specials are available for booking until midnight Wednesday, December 10, at www.ryanair.com.
