To those who, like me, watched the British Chancellor of the Exchequer deliver his Budget speech on March 16, I ask if they were at all surprised to learn that 80 per cent of Britain’s GDP is derived from services. I wonder if this proportion is currently being approached, or even exceeded, here in Malta.

My personal intuitive barometer indicates positivity. Perhaps the NSO would oblige. And what do they think of his new tax on sugar?
