There is much talk of the FBI and Europol helping with the investigation into Daphne Caruana Galizia’s brutal assassination.

What I don’t understand is why the Sicilian police were not asked to help given the similarities with the assassination of Giovanni Falcone and others?

They could have been on the scene in a matter of hours given their proximity to Malta and started the forensic search using their renowned expertise before vital evidence was lost.
