Martinez: Juventus have allowed midfielder Jorge Martinez to join CFR Cluj on a season-long loan. The Uruguay international has struggled to make an impact since signing for Juve from Catania. The 29-year-old agreed a four-year contract in 2010 but, after a disappointing debut season in Turin, he found himself on loan at Cesena for the 2011-12 campaign.

Sion: Swiss club Sion named Michael Decastel as their fifth coach in less than two years yesterday to replace Sebastien Fournier who quit after four months. Fournier resigned on Monday after he was reprimanded by the club for publicly accusing three players of spending a night on the town before a league match. A furious Fournier had identified the players immediately after Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat by St Gallen.

Van Der Wiel: PSG have completed the signing of Gregory van der Wiel from Ajax on a four-year deal. The full-back had made 130 league appearances for his hometown club. The 24-year-old has 35 caps for the Netherlands.

Witsel: Zenit St Petersburg have signed Axel Witsel from Benfica on a five-year deal. The Belgian international is the Russian side’s second signing this week after Hulk who joined from Porto. Witsel, 23, only joined the Portuguese side in 2011 from his hometown club Standard Liege, where he started his career in 2006.

Cris: Former Brazilian international defender Cris ended his eight-year spell at French Ligue 1 side Lyon by signing for Galatasaray for €1.25 million. The 35-year-old, capped 22 times, won the Ligue 1 title for four successive years (2005-08) as well as the French Cup in 2008 and 2012 after joining Lyon from Brazilian side Cruzeiro in 2004.
