Boscaglia had taken Trapani to promotion into Serie B. Youth team coaches Luigi Garzya and Giacomo Filippi are temporarily in charge of Trapani before a permanent coach is found.

Bradford: Giant-killers Bradford will have a live BBC television audience for the first time in their FA Cup run when the club’s quarter-final replay against Reading is broadcast. Following the goalless first game at Valley Parade, the FA has announced the replay on Monday at the Madejski Stadium will be shown on BBC One. The quarter-final replay between Liverpool and Blackburn at Ewood Park will be played on Wednesday, April 8.

Amat: Jordi Amat has become the second Spaniard to sign a Swansea contract extension in as many days. Amat has followed the example of his countryman Angel Rangel by committing to a one-year extension which will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2018. Amat joined Swansea from Espanyol for £2.5m in the summer of 2013 and made 30 appearances in his first season in south Wales, mostly in his preferred position as a central defender but also as a holding midfielder.

Friendly: Australia coach Ange Postecoglou has named three uncapped players in a squad largely made up of the Socceroos who won the Asian Cup in January for this month’s friendly against world champions Germany. Teenager Chris Ikonomidis, an attacking midfielder attached to Lazio, Brisbane Roar centre-half Luke DeVere and Adelaide United defender Tarek Elrich were the uncapped players named in the squad for the March 25 match in Kaiserslautern.
