Students from St Martin’s College, Swatar, recently spent a week in Berlin, Germany, where they attended German language lessons at the Goethe Institute.

The aim of this trip was to help students to improve their knowledge of German language and culture.

The intensive daily school programme was complemented by visits to places of historic and cultural interest in Berlin, such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Museum, the Science Centre Spectrum and the East-Side Gallery.

Throughout their stay, they were accompanied by their German teacher, Christine Bugeja, and art teacher Mario Borg.

The trip was part of the educational cultural exchange programme at St Martin’s College.
