When: December 5
Where: Prague, Czech Republic
Cost: Free

On December 5, St Nicholas himself wanders the streets of Prague. Accompanied by an angel and a devil, he dispenses material justice to the city’s children under their Christmas trees.

The trio stop children and ask them if they were good in the past year. Most children, of course, say yes and sing a song or recite a short poem.

The devil metes out coal to the miscreants of the previous year, while the angel gives goodies to the well behaved.

Parents bring their children to the Old Town Square where you can see the tradition in full swing roughly between 5 and 8 p.m.

Fly to Prague direct with Air Malta.
