The findings of a study on language diversity in local primary schools were recently presented by four University academics – Sandro Caruana, George Cremona, Alexandra Vella and Antoinette Camilleri Grima – at a conference held at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, at the end of the EU Lifelong Learning project ‘Multilingualism in Europe as a resource for immigration dialogue initiatives among the universities of the Mediterranean’.

The field research involved over 3,800 fifth grade pupils and their parents in 70 primary schools.
