Having just returned from watching the Red Devils lifting the Premier League Cup at Old Trafford where the attendance was 76,000 and without having witnessed a single incident, my experience was marred when I watched the TVM news clip of a thug punching a policeman and a player kicking another player who was on the ground during the Floriana-Valletta FA Cup final.
It clearly shows that the Malta Football Association is years behind when it comes to controlling the supporters of the world’s favourite sport. These are football thugs behaving in the worst possible way and should not form any part of today’s most favourite sport.
Football is a family sport and these scenes of bad behaviour by some thugs are not what one expects to see when one takes the family to watch their favourite football team.
