An unusual exhibition of illustrated prints inspired by visual attributes of Malta is currently on display at Palazzo de Piro in Mdina.

Te fit-Tazza was founded in 2015 by Andrew Farrugia and Craig Macdonald, two friends with a passion for design and all other things beautiful. Both artists believe that Malta boasts a wealth of identity. This is seen in the way locals act, interact and present themselves, both socially and visually.

The name of this collective is indicative of this identity, being the traditional way Maltese serve tea – in a transparent glass (tazza) usually reserved for drinking water.

For the first series titled il-Luzzu, the artists captured these attributes in minimalist depictions, taking away as much detail as possible, while keeping the subject instantly recognisable.
