The government is justified in ensuring that consumers get the correct amount of fuel from petrol pumps. However, I consider this exercise to be a camouflage for the high price we are paying for fuel – we pay more than the EU average and consequently our disposable income is lowered. I also believe this exercise is penny wise pound foolish. While receiving the precise amount of fuel paid for, our waiting time to reach a destination is increasing due to heavy traffic, leading to a higher consumption of fuel and costs.
