The thousands who voted Labour at the last general election expressed their trust in Joseph Muscat to run the country, believing this would be in the best interest of Malta and the Maltese. They believed what was being told that better times were on the horizon.
How come now, when the Prime Minister is faced with certain questions, he does not reply? The people have a right to know what is really going on, how the taxpayer’s money is being spent.
They have a right to see that everyone is treated the same, that there are no two weights and two measures, that justice is being done and is seen to be done. Otherwise, suspicions rightly arise.
The Prime Minister should keep in mind that, prior to winning the elections, he promised transparency. Unfortunately, he is failing miserably.
