Enrico Travel has teamed up with Emirates Airlines and the Paq Paq team to offer a 4x4 adventure tour around Cyprus in April.
Visitors will travel through the winding roads of the Troodos Mountains, dotted with pretty villages such as Platres, Arsos and Omodos, where they will visit a winery.
They will then drive to the majestic amphitheatre of Currium before proceeding to Akrotiri and Episkopi, ending the day in Limassol.
Another excursion will take visitors to the western part of the island – Paphos, birthplace of Aphrodite and home to ancient ruins, and the Akamas region to see the Avakas Gorge.
Organisers are promising that visitors will spot many Greek temples, Roman villas, early Christian basilicas, Byzantine churches and castles along the way.
Enrico Travel managing director Enrico Borg said: “The best way to discover Cyprus is by car.
“The 4x4 tour has been planned to visit many sites that are off the tourist trail. Roads are very well sign-posted in English and driving is on the left-hand side as in Malta.”
The tour will leave Malta on April 3 and return on April 7. Price per person is €498, sharing a double/twin room in a village farmhouse in Tochni
Package includes return economy class Emirates flights to Larnaca, taxes and fuel surcharge, four nights’ accommodation with breakfast, rental of 4x4 vehicle shared by four people, tour leader and all excursions. Charges for entrance fees, food, beverages, fuel and full insurance of the jeeps are not included. Terms and conditions apply.
The flight takes just over two hours on Emirates’ refurbished Boeing 777-200 aircraft, with an award-winning in-flight experience.
