Families and business owners who settle outstanding utility bills in the next two months will benefit from a 75 per cent interest reduction, the government said yesterday.
The measure was brought into force through a legal notice that set a two-month window between September and the end of October within which the unpaid bills will have to be settled.
The government also said that those who paid their bills within one month once the two-month window expired would benefit from a 50 per cent interest reduction. Those who did so up to two months after the deadline would pay 25 per cent less interest.
