• Even though legally binding, verbal agreements are best backed up in writing.
• Consumers should ensure that they have proof of everything agreed with the seller.
• A sales contract cannot be cancelled unless an important term or condition of the contract has been breached by one of the parties.
• Consumers are responsible to read a contract before signing it.
• Consumers cannot be bound by contract terms which they had no real opportunity to read and understand before the contract was concluded.
