• If a credit note is offered for non-conforming goods, consumers may refuse it and ask for a cash refund.
• Once a credit note is accepted, consumers are no longer entitled to a cash refund.
• Usually a credit note has a number of limitations as to how, where and when it can be used.
• When consumers change their mind they do not have the legal right to request a remedy.
• It is best if the terms and conditions of the credit note are written on the credit note.
