World of Wines opens at Blue Harbour Marina

Located at the Blue Harbour Marina, along Ta’ Xbiex seafront, World of Wines is the latest addition to the Charles Grech portfolio.

Walking into the wine shop is an experience in itself. Tall walls are clad in some of the finest bottles of wine or champagne and the entire room echoes memories of ancient libraries in novels or films – inclusive of a wooden ladder on wheels.

The entirely customised project was entrusted to Dex, Vivendo Group’s furnishings division.

Italian firm Tumidei was responsible for carpentry. A natural wood feel was chosen to bring out the cosy atmosphere, usually present in a wine cellar, throughout the establishment.

Seating was provided by design brand Calligaris, which created customised, high bar stools elegantly upholstered in soft tan leather, inviting patrons to unwind over a bottle of good wine after a long day.
