I have paid another visit to the ‘100 Objects’ exhibition at the Museum of Archaeology, in Valletta. It is a chronicle of our history, beautifully set up and very informative.
On my first visit in May, I noticed an error about St Ġorġ Preca. It is written that Pope John Paul II declared him a saint on June 3, 2007. The mistake is also printed in the book about the exhibition.
I wrote a note in the comments book but, obviously, no one reads these comments because the error is still there.
Even a nine-year old would have checked on the internet to make sure that the information is correct.
It was, in fact, Pope Benedict XVI who presided over the canonisation on that rainy Sunday. I suggest that a correction be inserted in copies of the book that are still unsold.
