White Hart settled into a rhythm and could have taken a two-goal lead in the first 10 minutes but failed to convert two clear chances.

After missing a couple of chances through Clive Williams and Mark Camilleri, Young Stars took the lead when Jamie Mifsud picked his spot to fire home.

Young Stars doubled their advantage in the 41st minute thanks to Joseph Dalli’s well-struck effort.

In the 46th minute, Luke Borg Costanzi hit the side-netting with a fine effort.

The 53rd minute produced the move of the match when Camilleri raced the length of the pitch before setting up Sam Borg who put the Young Stars 3-0 up.

White Hart reduced the arrears when Mark Zahra scored with an effort from the top of the D.

Almost immediately, Young Stars restored their three-goal lead when Borg hit his second goal to secure a 4-1 victory

After the studious initial 10 minutes, Rabat did not benefit from two penalty corners awarded to them.

The game then increased in momentum and in the 19th minute, Julian Zahra scored after a prolonged action in the D to put Hotsticks 1-0 up.

Five minutes later, Hotsticks went further ahead when Steve Portelli netted a fine goal as a result of a penalty corner action.

Hotsticks applied further pressure but could not add to their lead until half-time.

Three minutes into the second half, Luca Sciusco hit the target to fire the Hotsticks 3-0 ahead.

In the next 10 minutes, Hotsticks won four penalty corners but could not increase their advantage.

Although Rabat created a couple of chances on the counter-attack, Hotsticks dominated the latter part of the game to administer their 3-0 lead
