A concert of Maltese songs by Corazon, entitled Id-Dar tan-Nanna, will take place today at 7.30pm at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria.

The concert forms part of the Gaulitana Festival of Music and the Music Alive series, and is in aid of Puttinu Cares.

Corazon will be accompanied by Simone Attard (piano), Anthony Saliba (bass), Sandro Grech (drums and percussion), Alfred Fenech (oboe), Alex Mizzi (guitar) and guest singer Neville Refalo, as well as the Gaulitanus Choir.

The festival continues tomorrow with internationally-renowned Italian pianist Pasquale Iannone will perform a piano recital at the Gozo Ministry Hall, Victoria, tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The recital, entitled 19th Century Piano: Spirituality and Virtuosity, will feature a varied programme including Rachmaninov’s Moments Musiceaux and Rosenthal’s Humoresque on Johann Strauss’s waltzes.
