A new bed companion

A new teddy bear, which comes hot out of the microwave, is set to take the island by storm this Christmas and provide warmth during the cold winter nights.

Beddy Bear, which has just been launched by The Model Shop, will release a soothing smell of lavender and provide hours of warmth and comfort after just two minutes in the microwave.

The bear is filled with treated wheat grains and a hint of lavender and can be reheated time and time again.

This award winning soft-toy was designed and developed by Intelex Ltd using over eight years of experience in manufacturing cereal filled microwavable heat packs.

The company's unrivalled experience in this area ensures that that this revolutionary product is 100 per cent safe.

"Our products have been thoroughly tested and have been approved by trading standards and the Medical Device Agency," Intelex managing director Philip Gannon, an expert committee member with the British Standards Institute, said.

Beddy-Bear comes in a range of five different colours.
