As a resident of Marsascala what is happening to this picturesque village is of great concern to me. I moved my family from Fgura due to the unhealthy environment caused by pollution, to a seaside village hoping that our lungs will have a better lease of life, but it seems that Government intends to turn it into a second Maghtab.

Why so much interest in Marsascala all of a sudden? When we residents wanted more importance given to the south as regards upkeep, entertainment and business, all this fell on deaf ears and Marsascala is slowly becoming a ghost village even in summer. People prefer going to Bugibba and they have a point, because Marsascala has nothing to offer as regards entertainment.

Well, the icing on the cake will be the upgrading of the waste recycling plant in Marsascala. If this project is carried out, Government would have virtually erased our village from the Maltese Islands.
