A photography exhibition by French photographer Vincent Kraft is being inaugurated today at Palazzo de la Salle in Valletta.
Through striking and compelling photos from 12 countries, Street is a thought-provoking journey in contemporary concerns, including the vulnerabilities, violence and brutality of societies around the world.
Following the completion of his art and photographic studies in France, Kraft embarked on a journey that has taken him through 50 countries and across 200,000km. His aesthetic revolves around the themes of instantaneity, perspectives and the temporal nature of abandoned places.
Over the years, his artwork has featured in various photography books and international exhibitions in London, Cardiff, Paris and Valletta.
Kraft was also the recipient of the Prize of the Public Award at the London Photo Festival.
The exhibition, curated by Lisa Gwen Baldacchino and with art direction by Anthony Galea, is endorsed by Valletta 2018.
The exhibition is being held at Palazzo de la Salle, at 219, Republic Street, Valletta, until June 16. It will open today from 7pm until 10pm; from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 7pm; and on Saturdays and public holidays from 11am to 3pm. It is closed on Sundays. Entrance is free.
