Tarxien Rainbows ran out 3-1 winners against relegated Pieta Hotspurs as a Firaz Aboulezz brace and Soly Mouhamed finish ensured Tarxien's status in the BOV Premier League next season.

The Rainbows took the lead after 10 minutes after a wonderful solo effort from Firaz Aboulezz, who dribbled past three Pieta defenders en route to goal.

Tarxien Rainbows never needed to look back as Aboulezz doubed his tally early in the second half, with Soly Mouhamed ensuring the three points on the hour mark. Pieta squeezed in a goal with a quarter of an hour to go, as striker Claude Frances grabbed what was only to be a conciliation goal for the relegated blues.

Cue the final whistle, and the streamers and banners were out, Tarxien's season ended in safety having don more than enough to defeat their opponents tonight. The final score was 3-1 and it was time for the Rainbows the celebrate.
