Valletta-based artist James Vella Clark’s latest exhibition Convergence will be on display at the Palazzo de la Salle Art Galleries throughout the month of February. Vella Clark is one of Malta’s best-known expressionist interpreters of the Maltese urban and rural landscape, whose works have become increasingly abstract over the development of his career.

Convergence will exhibit a collection of the artist’s paintings that were created over the past decade, including recent work that retrospectively reflect Vella Clark’s gradual shift towards abstraction. The exhibition brings together ideas and layers of experience to form something new, giving the abstract form and meaning. The collection will be open to the public and will be the artist’s first all-abstract solo exhibition.

Convergence will run at Palazzo de La Salle, Valletta between Friday and February 28.
