Maltese dermatologist Lawrence Scerri was elected board director of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, during the recent 12th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in Barcelona.

This academy is the highest ranking international organisation that represents dermatology and venereology in Europe.

Dr Scerri is currently chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Floriana and also occupies the position of vice-president of the Maltese Association of Dermatology and Venereology.
