The 77-year-old Gzira woman knocked down by a bus at her hometown on Wednesday evening has succumbed to her injuries, the police said.

The woman was run over as she was crossing the road at the junction between Msida Road and the road leading to Ta' Xbiex seafront.

She passed away yesterday at about 4 a.m.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna has appointed a number of experts to assist in the inquiry.
