The merger between Ernst & Young and MSD&Co. became effective over the weekend making EY one of the four largest accountancy firms on the island.
The new E&Y, which employs 100 people, now has 10 partners.
"We look forward to developing this into an accountancy firm that will provide Maltese clients with objective and forward looking systems.
"We have brought together the talent and facilities available in both former firms to provide a more efficient and a more comprehensive service," a spokesman for Ernst and Young said yesterday in a statement.
The merger took two months to conclude.
