Andrè Falzon, a 19-year-old man from St Paul's Bay, was yesterday granted bail after being charged with drug trafficking.

Mr Falzon was charged with conspiring to traffic in drugs, trafficking in ecstasy and being in possession of 346 ecstasy tablets.

He was further charged with being in possession of heroin and violently resisting the police.

Magistrate Dennis Montebello accorded the accused bail against a deposit of Lm1,000 and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Lawyer Franco Debono appeared for the accused.

Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted.
