A Birkirkara man was yesterday charged with fraud and misappropriation.

Carmelo Borda, 33, pleaded not guilty to defrauding Noelle Galea of Lm950 and misappropriating the money between February 5 and 19, 2002.

He also pleaded not guilty to the misappropriation of Rosanna Carbonaro's car and Lm500 in cash on May 5, 2001.

Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted.
